Stacey Van Tassell

Teacher, Mom, Life Coach

I have a BA in Humanities & Secondary Education. I started teaching high school English right out of college. I loved it. I have a soft spot for young adults, and working with them everyday fit me very well.

When my first baby was born, however, I decided to make being her mom my full time job. She was the new love of my life and I didn’t want to miss a single second of her childhood. The same feeling came with my two boys.

When my kids received diagnoses of ADHD and/or dyslexia, I turned into research mom. While the kids were at school, I spent my time reading and listening to any resource I could find to help us figure out how to manage life in this new way.

I found a wealth of information, research, and tools. I also found that coaches for teens and young adults with ADHD were in short supply and difficult to find. So, I started building my own tool box.

Eventually, as these things go, my kids didn’t need me around quite so much. After a brief stint in grad school, I felt that what I really wanted to do was help young adults like my kids manage their minds and live life with a little less stress and anxiety.

I decided to get certified at The Life Coach School, which gave me all the tools I was needing to get to work. This is the most amazing, fun work I can imagine doing, and I’d be honored to be a part of your journey.

Find out who you are and do it on purpose.
